The Axial Programme (Global S/4HANA implementation)
We are one purpose-led global organisation. The enablers and innovators, ensuring that we can fulfil our mission to push the boundaries of science and discover and develop life-changing medicines. We take pride in working close to the cause, opening the locks to save lives, ultimately making a massive difference to the outside world.
AstraZeneca (AZ) is in a period of strong growth and our employees have a united purpose to make a difference to patients around the world who need both our medicines and the ongoing developments from our science. In this journey AZ must continue to work across borders and with partners and new colleagues in a fast and seamless way. The ambition, size and complexity of the organisation, coupled with the opportunities afforded by new technology, has led the Board to approve a large-scale transformation programme – Axial.
The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.
The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. This is a once in a generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.
The Axial programme needs the best talent to work in it. Whether it’s the technical skills, business understanding or change leadership, we want to ensure we have the strongest team deployed throughout. We are aiming to deliver a world class change programme that leaves all employees with a fuller understanding of their role in the end-to-end nature of our global company. This programme will provide AZ with a competitive edge, to the benefit of our employees, customers and patients.
We are now looking for an Enterprise Process Expert (within Axial Supply Chain Planning) to join our team
What you'll do:
Support the design, development and deployment of world class, fully integrated, end-to-end set of global Demand & Supply Planning and Product Life Cycle Management processes that utilises the best of the S/4HANA and OMP solutions available, and that delivers substantial operational improvements.
Help drive connections between the Axial program and the current business as usual teams working on Supply Chain Management. Specifically, this role will be an important interface into Global Supply Chain and Supply Regions when it comes to the future direction of Demand & Supply Planning processes, Product Life Cycle Management processes and Requirements Planning across AstraZeneca. Other key connections the role will make are across related Enterprise Process teams covering Source, Make and Deliver, to make sure optimized processes and data standards are defined across the full enterprise.
Support the design of future state process for Supply Chain Planning (Demand & Supply), reporting and metrics, using SAP best practice as the baseline and a ‘fit to standard’ approach. Working with the S/4HANA system/business integrators (SI/BI), business SME’s and others, run workshops to describe and design the interim and future state for this space. This includes driving the exploration of SAP S/4HANA core and relevant add-ons for final selection into our detailed design phase.
Support the S4/OMP Integration Lead in exploring with internal and external resources the options that exist in each system solution to ensure AstraZeneca has the most optimal Network Planning system solution implemented with world class capabilities that’s sustainable within the organisation longer term.
The team of Supply Chain Planning Enterprise Process Experts will cover all stages of Product Life Cycle Management and Supply Chain Change, from NPI (ready to plan) to Divestment, inclusive of Tech Transfers, Clinical Supply and Flavour Management (Segmentation/Characteristic based planning).
Essential Requirements:
Experience working in, or a general understanding of S/4HANA and related SAP add-ons (inc Fiori apps) would be advantageous for this role
If you have any questions regarding this role please feel free to get in touch with Stefan Sandberg – Enterprise Process Lead (Axial Supply Chain Planning).
