- This position will be working in lab and greenhouse performing the following duties: Assisting in planting, inoculating, and evaluating plants to screen for disease resistances; Maintaining suitable conditions for proper plant growth;
- Preparing for culture media;
- Assisting in lab, headhouse and greenhouse sanitation practices including devitalization processing of all regulated breeding materials.
- Looking at pathogens like nematodes, fungi, and root rot.
- Measuring symptoms and the varying levels of symptoms.
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology or a related science field.
- 0-1 years of lab experience
- Candidates must pay attention to the details and be able to follow safety and stewardship rules, stand for long periods of time, and lift 50 lbs.
