What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare conceptual design and construction documents using various engineering software including AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Develop investigative design reports, studies, and databases/maps
- Coordinate projects with in-house engineering teams and outside consultants
- Assist in analyzing data for complex design and load rating tasks
- Participate in non-design engineering activities such as construction inspection, materials testing, and field data collection
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college
- Minimum of 0 to 3 years of professional civil engineering design experience
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and various engineering software systems
- Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, and ACI design codes
