      Job Title: Entry Level Financial Analyst

      Job Description

      This role is within the Securities Administration Services (SAS) group and involves processing complex transactions or reconciliations related to loan or security payments. The position requires a meticulous approach to providing remittance and correction information to servicers, as well as monitoring and analyzing pooled loans to identify non-compliance and communicate relevant information to investors.

      Responsibilities

      • Provide remittance and correction information to servicers.
      • Monitor and analyze pooled loans to identify non-compliance.
      • Communicate compliance information to investors.
      • Evaluate servicer performance for agreement compliance.
      • Participate in system enhancements, attend user groups, and conduct testing.
      • Identify and communicate processing exceptions relevant across portfolios.
      • Maintain expertise in Collateral, Securities, Default, or Trust Administration.
      • Train and review the work of junior staff in processing and reconciliations.
      • Propose and implement automated solutions regularly.
      • Conduct data entry, accounting, and analyses of pooled loan data from various mortgage servicers.
      • Utilize multiple database systems including Microsoft Excel to ensure data accuracy.
      • Research and interpret legal documents when issues arise with collateral or bond payments.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in business analysis and finance.
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and V Look Up.
      • Ability to perform detailed data analysis and mathematical calculations.
      • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
      • Preferably 1+ year of experience in Financial Services, including internship experience.

      Work Environment

      This position offers a team-oriented and task-based work environment with a hybrid flexible schedule. There is an expectation for some on-site training and participation in large team meetings monthly. The role is deadline-driven, requiring occasional overtime to complete analyses at specific points during the month. Growth opportunities are available within the organization, and there is potential for remote work flexibility, except when large conferences or team meetings are scheduled in Columbia, MD.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
