What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Greet and assist donors, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the donation process
- Screen new and repeat donors, recording vital signs and test results accurately
- Maintain donor records and manage donor compensation using the Donor Information System
- Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance center processes
- Work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate donor needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer or patient-facing role
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Physical ability to lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare or biopharmaceutical environment
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with donor screening and phlebotomy procedures
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse donor population
- Certification in phlebotomy or related field
