      Overview

      This is a hybrid role - 2 days remote and 3 days in the Malvern, PA office.

      CubeSmart is seeking a Property Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team at its Malvern, PA headquarters. The Property Accountant will provide WOW! Customer service to both internal and external customers by performing day to day accounting work for assigned stores and districts. They will collaborate with teammates to meet monthly deadlines for various accounting reports.

      Responsibilities

      • Analyze, adjust and record all income collected on a daily basis from reports produced at the property level
      • Confirms that properties make deposits daily and monitors receipt activity to detect theft and/or fraud
      • Responsible for answering facilities and main office accounting inquires
      • Responsible for reconciliation of property level bank accounts
      • Code all accounts payable for assigned properties
      • Review expenses at month end to ensure accurate coding and report on budget vs. actual performance
      • Assist with special projects as needed

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 year’s professional experience in the accounting field
      • Developed knowledge and understanding of accounting function within a real estate development/retail company.
      • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
      • Ability to communicate with all levels including co-workers, field staff, and management. Effective interpersonal skills
      • Able to prioritize multiple projects
      • Detail oriented; organized
      • Work well under pressure, meeting deadlines consistently
      • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
      • Computer skills: A sophisticated user of the Microsoft Office products
      • Able to work effectively with cross functional groups in solving business problems
