Structural Welder

Job Description

We are looking for skilled structural welders to join our team. The ideal candidates must be proficient in Mig and Flux welding, capable of reading blueprints and tape measures, and have the knowledge to set ampage/voltage on welding machines. Additionally, the ability to grind welds and weld in the 3G (vertical) position is required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Mig and Flux welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
• Knowledge of setting ampage/voltage on welding machines.
• Experience in grinding welds.
• Capability to weld in the 3G (vertical) position.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fabrication skills.
• Production experience.

Work Environment

We offer both a first shift from 5am-3:30pm Monday to Friday and a night shift from 5pm-4:30am Monday to Friday. The work environment includes the use of various welding technologies and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
