- Drafting and reviewing environmental summary documents for wind and solar projects;
- Researching and summarizing state-specific environmental and wildlife guidelines for project development;
- Supporting team efficiency through data visualization using software such as PowerBI;
- Collecting and organizing wildlife data from operational wind farms for industry reporting;
- Compiling biodiversity data from operational solar projects;
- Contributing to training materials used to educate other EDP departments about project environmental requirements and pertinent environmental regulations; and
- Providing ongoing support to Environmental Affairs staff on the development, construction, and operation of projects based on Company priorities.
- Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate student in environmental science, biology, renewable energy management, project management, or a related field
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-motivated
- Ability to prioritize and deliver project work according to schedule
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form

General Description:
The Summer Intern will support the Environmental Affairs Team in recommending, defining, and implementing project control tools and standards for United States, Canada, and Mexico solar and wind projects both in development and operations. The Summer Intern will focus on several initiatives based on business demands and may include technical or administrative projects as needed.
This is a paid internship that will start on or around June 2024, with an end date of approximately August 15, 2024.
