The County of San Luis Obispo is offering a career opportunity for an environmental professional to join an APWA accredited public works department managing our Environmental Division.Staff in the nine-person Environmental Division apply specialized skills in the areas of land use planning, resource law, biology, botany, wetlands, regulatory permitting, archaeology, and environmental restoration. Minimum Requirements for this Position:
A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in a related field. (Job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
In addition, four years of increasingly responsible professional-level experience performing a variety of administrative or fiscal activities -- two years of the required experience must be in a supervisory position.
