Implement outlined food program.

Supervise seasonal Kitchen Staff assigned to their camp and any additional support staff.

Implement menu plan approved by Food Services Manager.

Receive and store food and cleaning supplies in accordance with local health standards.

Use appropriate equipment to follow local health standards.

Prepare and serve tasteful meals and snacks based on provided menu in sufficient quantity, minimizing waste.

Use kitchen equipment safely.

Operate electrical and mechanical equipment.

Determine cleanliness of dishes, food contact surfaces, and kitchen area.

Log fridge and freezer temperatures and monitor dishwashers in logging the dishwasher temperature.

Commitment to the mission and values of CYO.

Strong communication skills, verbal.

At least one season of camp cooking experience preferred.

Ability to work under pressure in time constraints.

Must be able to lift/unload/move food and supplies.

Current CPR/First aid and Food Handlers required or willingness to obtain prior to camp season.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION:
Each position employed with CYO Camps helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:
To coordinate the seasonal food service program at Camp Hamilton.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Primary:
A good example for youth.
2. Education:
a. HS Diploma or significant qualifying experience.
3. Experience:
a. Previous experience in staff management.
b. Previous cooking experience.
