      Our Opportunity

      North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Environmental Engineer - I to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to the organization regarding environmental issues in order to ensure its compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities

      Your Priorities

      • Identifies, assesses, and helps to resolve problems concerning environmental issues.
      • Coordinates all NAL environmental programs and systems with ISO 14001.
      • Coordinates and maintains the management of the organization’s International Material Data System (IMDS) and equivalent reporting systems.
      • Maintains all records associated with assuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation.
      • Provides technical assistance to manufacturing and engineering operations regarding materials, processes, and equipment in order to assure compliance with environmental requirements.
      • Assists facilities with hazardous waste management, and with obtaining and maintaining appropriate permits.

      Requirements

      Your Background

      Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of experience with industrial environmental programs.

      Experience in environmental engineering in the automotive coatings industry and/or multistate environmental experience is preferred.

      Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
