      As an Environmental Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Representing the Intel EHS Organization in the area of environmental engineering. Compliance of all applicable environmental regulations, government requirements and Intel policies for air and or water and waste programs. Influencing organizations to maintain environmental performance and limit Intel's environmental footprint. Teaming with other EHS professionals on a site, regional and global level to share learning, increase innovation and drive synergy throughout Intel. Partnering with site, regional and global stakeholders to increase environmental awareness, tracking, analyzing and reporting environmental indicators and driving continuous improvement efforts. Preparing and submitting required environmental reports, indicators, permit applications/modifications with high degree of quality. Interface with appropriate regulatory agencies. Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and engineering judgment. Represent your region in cross-site teams to increase environmental awareness, share learning, increase innovation, and drive synergy throughout Intel. Lead compliance self-assessments to gauge the health of the environmental programs and identify areas needed for improvement to ensure regulatory compliance is met. Be the liaison to regulatory agencies for site specific sustaining environmental program support; e.g., City of Chandler, Maricopa County Air Quality Department, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Arizona Department of Water Resources, and the US Environmental Protection Agency. The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Written and verbal communication skills. Influencing skills at all levels of the organization. Expertise to translate EHS requirements into simple, actionable recommendations.

      Qualifications:

      You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      A Bachelor's degree in any field of engineering or any other relevant sciences like environmental science or chemistry or a Master's degree in any field of engineering or any other relevant sciences like environmental science or chemistry, with an emphasis on environmental coursework

      • 2+ years of work experience in at least one of the following:

      • Environmental regulations, sampling, emission data analysis, and report writing.

      • Environmental, health, and safety field.

      • Federal/State regulatory requirements in Air, Wastewater, or Hazardous Waste.


      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 2+ years of experience with the Arizona State regulatory requirements in Air, Wastewater, or Waste.

      • 2+ years of experience working with regulatory agencies.

      Work Model for this Role

      This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
