      Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Site Technician to join them. You will report to the Site Environmental, Health & Safety Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Niagara Falls, New York.

      To be considered for EHS Site Technician, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

      • Typically, Associates degree in a field of science or EHS related field.
      • At least two years of experience working with EHS related activities.
      • Requires a full physical which includes bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.

      As a EHS Site Technician, you will:

      • Audit routine EHS activities being undertaken by production and maintenance areas for compliance. Provide audit findings to area owners and EHS team as required by site EHS audit expectations.
      • Conduct routine EHS compliance tasks needing to be accomplished by EHS organization to meet regulatory, management requirements. Common routine tasks are collecting samples, recording data, labeling, mapping, sorting, publishing connect site information, etc.
      • Analyze chemical safety data sheet and material information for EHS hazards and subsequently compile, categorize data for compliance programs/processes/reporting.
      • Arrange meetings with key stakeholders to support EHS activities needing action such as inspections, inventory, waste shipments, on site testing events.
      • Support site emergency response teams by responding to emergencies they have training on. Technician role will be expected, once trained and equipped, to respond to spills and medical emergencies. Depending on site hazards, this may require the use of specialized personal protective equipment and equipment such as a powered industrial truck, winches, chemical resistant suits and respirators.
      • Assist EHS organization with modifying, creating training materials, work instructions, process diagrams, metrics monitoring and analysis and other EHS systems support events.
      • May be called upon after hours for emergencies and onsite support.
      • May travel to East Aurora or other local areas for training and meetings.

      Salary Range:

      • The base pay range for this opportunity is $22.40 - $38.67 per hour.

      This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance.
