- Assist on multiple projects in a technical capacity, such as bridge rehabilitation/replacements, roadway improvements, managed lanes projects, safety improvements, and transit; water/wastewater; and communications projects. Supporting planning, permitting, and impact analysis tasks.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams in an office and virtual team environment, supporting permitting, planning, resource assessment, and other regulatory aspects for a wide range of projects.
- Organize, contribute to the development of, and coordinate production of reports to ensure technical consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation for communication of a completed design.
- Support Project Managers and Senior Technical Staff on a variety of project work functions, including research, administrative, and financial tasks.
- Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guideline and policies.
- Ability to work with a diverse team of professionals in environmental sciences, engineering, architecture, planning, GIS, etc.
- Strong written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health & Safety protocols.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and clients (up to 10% of your monthly schedule).
- Bachelor’s in environmental science, natural resources, or related discipline required. Masters degree preferred.

Stantec, is seeking an entry-level Planner to join our Impact Assessment, Permitting, and Compliance Practice in Texas. The position is to be based out of our Austin, Houston or Irving office; geographic alignment with other Stantec offices may be considered based on experience.
Stantec is seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic about a position intended support a wide range of efforts including, but not limited to, environmental planning and permitting, infrastructure, renewable energy, community redevelopment and revitalization, emergency management and community resilience, and environmental, social, and governance projects.
This position requires strong skills as a self-starter, with ability to participate on multiple projects simultaneously. We will provide you with the tools, resources, and support staff to complete these planning tasks; we will mentor you so you can grow and thrive in your career. This role will also include support to project managers for contracting, reporting, and scheduling.
