      Primary Responsibilities

      • Be an active team member for Environmental Planning projects - Potential to be a Deputy Project Manager on Environmental Assessments
      • Provide technical NEPA writing for technical sections of environmental planning documents and peer review of some document sections
      • Work on several projects concurrently
      • Occasional travel within and outside of the U.S. to military installations and defense contractor facilities
      • Collect project-related data, which may include research, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, field investigations, etc.
      • Conduct environmental impact assessments
      • Assist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings
      • Assist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance for wetland impacts, bridge construction, and threatened/endangered species
      • Perform other duties as needed

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
      • Minimum 5 years of technical and/or field experience preparing environmental documents, specifically NEPA reports
      • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
      • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)
      • Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
      • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Master's degree in a related field
      • NEPA document development experience
      • Preference is given to local candidates

Typical starting pay range for this position in Colorado is $77,693.00 - $110,990.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
