What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage environmental documents and ensure compliance with NEPA and other federal and state regulations
- Oversee project deliverables including environmental technical analysis and consultation activities
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as tribal governments, stakeholders, and the public
- Prepare and review project engineering plans and environmental clearance documents for compliance
- Present at public meetings and hearings to ensure adequate public notification and involvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Environmental Discipline, Planning, Public Management, or a related field
- Direct experience in Environmental/NEPA Project Management or Environmental Planning
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and the NEPA process
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass driver’s license record checks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field
- Public sector experience in environmental planning or compliance
- Experience with Clean Water Act permits and environmental risk management
- Knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes and local ordinances
- Familiarity with office automation tools and project management software
