      We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Project Planner to manage, support, and deliver a variety of projects related to an exciting new integrated, multidisciplinary team working on brownfield redevelopment and land recycling projects across the United States. Projects frequently involve developing funding strategies, writing and/or implementing state and federal grants, coordinating with clients, and making presentations at conferences and to community groups and other stakeholders. Strong technical skills in planning, research, client and community engagement, and team coordination are essential. Likewise, impeccable oral and written communication skills and strong public speaking abilities will be important for success in this position. This is a full-time position that we prefer to fill in our Seattle, WA, Spokane, WA or Portland, OR offices.

      DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
      The successful candidate will:

      • Coordinate and support multidisciplinary project teams engaged in brownfield redevelopment projects, grant writing and implementation, resilience, and environmental, social and governance analysis.
      • Conduct research, including using the US Census website and state analogs, as well as state and federal equity and environmental justice mapping tools.
      • Oversee data collection, synthesis, and analysis to support grant applications, reporting and public communication.
      • Assist in identifying technical issues and problem-solving approaches for grant writing, implementation and management.
      • Review public policy, regulations and grant requirements from state and federal funding agencies and advise clients.
      • Oversee preparation of reports including grant progress reports, status reports, and final grant reports.
      • Prepare scopes of work, cost proposals, and qualification statements.
      • Coordinate contracting and subcontracting processes.
      • Work proficiently both as an individual and as a team contributor.
      • Be a self-starter capable of managing up and across teams, multitasking, identifying opportunities for improvement and taking steps to implement accordingly.
      • Possess advanced public speaking skills and be able to represent this team at state, regional and national conferences.
      • Up to 30% overnight travel is expected with this position.

      SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

      • Minimum B.A. degree in urban planning, public policy, environmental studies, or a related discipline.
      • 1-2 years total related work experience with focus on urban planning or a related field a plus.
      • Ability to work with project teams and clients to develop project execution strategies.
      • Extremely strong presentation and oral and written communications skills required.
      • Ability to work autonomously in scheduling and prioritizing within tight deadlines, with a focus on the work product and a high level of attention to detail.
      • Self-directed but with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
      • Ability to present to and support clients in public presentations and presentations to regulators and funders.
      • Must possess unwavering commitment to company and client Health & Safety protocols.

      The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA; Spokane, WA; and Portland, OR is $60,000 - $78,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
