Job Description

- Completes all cleaning assignments prior to the end of the shift, while maintaining a quality cleaning efficiency rate of 90% or above.
- Sanitizes and disinfects all horizontal and vertical surfaces, including high touch points such as bed rails/bed side tables/dispensers/etc. Empties needle boxes as required
- Attends daily huddles prior to the start of shift. Performs other duties as assigned by your supervisor
- Performs the following tasks in accordance with Quality Inspections: washes windows and furniture, dusts, damp mops and vacuums floors, washes and makes beds using clean linens. Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors and similar equipment. Sweeps/mops floors. Responsible for stripping beds and reporting any findings to nurse leader outside of Environmental Services.
- Reports any maintenance problems or safety hazards to immediate supervisor promptly
- Logs in to eBed at the beginning of every shift. Reports clean bed status immediately in eBed via the computer
- Removes trash from patient rooms, offices, and common areas as required. Follows proper trash removal procedures in assigned areas. Wipes clean the interior and exterior of trash containers. Places liners into trash containers properly and double bags hazardous waste cans. Insures recyclable trash is disposed of properly.
- Cleans floors in patient rooms, offices, and common areas as required. Cleans carpets as required. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors. Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
- Prepares discharged patient rooms as required and within schedule
- Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail. Responds to guest queries and requests.

This Environmental Service Aide candidate will perform routine duties necessary to maintain the Crozer Health hospitals in a safe, sanitary and attractive condition. This candidate will be responsible for the general and specialized cleaning procedures to uphold the departmental quality standards.
Education/Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years’ customer service, including identifying and resolving issues and building relationships with customers and patients preferred
Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic healthcare environment preferred
Requires rotation required, including holidays
Experience using computer systemsMandated and Permissive Reporter Training required
Environmental Service experience preferred, but will receive on-the-job training
