      Description

      The Environmental Services Technician II will performs duties involved with cleaning patient and non-patient areas by utilizing appropriate cleaning aids.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Assigned to clean and disinfect surgical, procedural, and specialized areas such as Sterile Processing.
      • Cleans and maintains various floors surfaces. This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vct, stone, tile, slate etcPerforms floor care using equipment such as ride-on, walk-behind, and manual operated machines for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing of floors.
      • Apply wax and other floor care products under the guidance of EVS Leadership.
      • Cleans, polishes furniture/fixtures in assigned areas and arranges furniture and/or equipment as directed. Dispose of biochemical waste in accordance with policy and procedures. Cleans floors with vacuums, dust mops, and/or wet mops.
      • Collects and removes trash and recyclable items and deposits to designated area.
      • Maintains security and confidentiality of areas by locking/unlocking doors and performing related functions.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Previous environmental services or custodial experience.
      • Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
      • Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50-75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
