- Assisting preparation of NEPA, SEPA, and/or CEQA environmental documents
- Assisting in developing environmental compliance strategies and preparing documentation related to compliance with:
- NEPA, SEPA, and CEQA
- Energy Facility Siting in OR and WA (EFSC or EFSEC)
- USFS Special Use Permits and forest management plans
- BLM right-of-way agreements and resource management plans
- Clean Water Act, Section 404/Section 401
- Land Use Planning Requirements in OR, WA, CA
- Assisting in energy infrastructure routing and siting studies
- Managing tasks or projects, and assisting in project organization
- Developing and assisting PMs in managing scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Conducts extensive research in specific or general project areas
- Interfacing with clients, agencies, other consultants, and the public
- Assist with business development activities
- Conducts field evaluations and assessments
- This position requires a BS degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Landscape Architectural, or related degree
- Graduate level degree in related field can replace required experience
- Two (2) plus years of professional experience in environmental consulting or compliance
- Experienced in completing environmental permit applications and supporting analyses
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed
- Ability to attend to details while keeping big-picture goals in mind

Environmental Specialist I
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist for full-time employment in our Boise, Idaho office in support of our Western Environmental Project Management/Planning Department. The selected candidates would join a team of more than 260 environmental professionals across the U.S. This position would join our Environmental Project Management Team in leading electrical infrastructure and renewable energy generation planning and environmental permitting projects, mainly in the Pacific Northwest.
