      Environmental Sustainability Coordinator 1

      Department:

      Administration and Planning | FOD Operations Sustainability

      The Environmental Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administrative support of sustainability programs and projects. This position focuses on program implementation for Resource Stewardship goals, with a primary focus on recycling and waste reduction at large university events. Assists with the Zero Waste Stadium Program and zero waste events projects at other facilities. Serves as lead on home football games. Monitors sustainability performance by tracking waste diversion data for events. Conducts facility tours to highlight and educate on sustainability programs and processes. Works with and communicates regularly with FOD and ATH/BA units, users of ATH/BA facilities, and other relevant entities to establish and promote the sustainability of existing programs. Assists with the implementation of waste diversion programming across the university. Supervises approximately up to 5 student workers and 10 volunteers. Work may occur on nights, weekends and holidays. Perform other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Education Required:
      High School Diploma

      Required Qualifications:
      Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a diverse population required.

      Additional Information:

      The targeted salary for this position is $23.00 per hour. Position in place from August-December 2024.
