      Job Description Summary:

      The EPC Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of utility-scale solar projects, including planning, budgeting, buyout, project controls/reporting, scheduling, risk management, etc. The Project Manager will provide leadership and technical expertise internally and externally for project success.

      Position Responsibilities and Duties:

      • Partner with the superintendent team to plan, execute, and oversee significant scopes of self-performed work, managing large labor crews. Plan sequencing, crew sizes, productivity goals, and monthly labor spend. Execute work and track results, adjusting forecasts accordingly.
      • Work with the Superintendent to develop and implement safety plans and procedures.
      • Oversee project billings, aiming to maximize cash flow and reduce pay cycles through diligent billing. Prioritize collection of aged receivables and review their status regularly.
      • Negotiate change orders with owners for timely resolution.
      • Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases.
      • Establish and implement job procedures to ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.
      • Ensure the project stays on schedule.
      • Maintain accurate reporting on costs and forecasts to management.
      • Manage, train, and supervise the project team, mentoring younger employees for professional growth.
      • Review contract conditions to ensure compliance.
      • Document significant project events like accidents, delays, and change orders.
      • Lead preconstruction services and activities.
      • Prepare and issue subcontract bid packages.
      • Manage project risks by evaluating potential events and preparing mitigation plans.
      • Maintain quality control and develop site-specific quality management plans.
      • Mitigate claims and conflicts.
      • Complete all project close-out procedures and warranty follow-up.
      • Ensure project completion with full or enhanced fee.
      • Build and maintain good relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
      • Coordinate extensively with material suppliers and labor providers to ensure timely delivery and resource availability.
      • Organize and lead regular meetings with project stakeholders.

      Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred.
      • 5-8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory skills.
      • Leadership ability to organize diverse teams remotely into high-performing units.
      • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and industry tools like Bluebeam Revu; CMiC experience is a plus.
      • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
      • Understanding of project management systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating).
      • Deep understanding of utility-scale PV plant construction, interconnection processes, and methods.
      • Ability to travel extensively (minimum 50%), including remote job sites.
      • Strong organizational, communication, and people skills.
      • Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter.

      Performance Objectives:

      • Accurate proposal schedules based on project variables and lessons learned.
      • Timely resolution of claims or impacts through schedule management.
      • Development of scheduling competence within the operations team.
