- Directly interacts with the Blood Bank business owners at all six hospitals. This includes each CLIA Medical Directory, the Lab Supervisors and Lead Techs across the Health System.
- Schedules and runs all weekly meetings with the business owners.
- Keeps documented notes of all decisions at each meeting and update the web site with new content.
- Assigns tickets in JIRA and is responsible to review all tickets and responding to the issue.
- Works very independent for expertise area of over-sight. Candidate is on point to other members of the team that have questions in their area of expertise (this role is Blood Bank focused).
- The AC4 analyst for Blood Bank is first contact for any new issue in this software domain. Oversight includes the software suite for Haemonetics SafeTrace LIS, Haemonetics Blood Track automation software, select Data Innovations instrument drivers, Epic Blood Product Orders and Order sets, Epic Blood Product Administration (BPAM) configuration and workflows. The Blood Banks across JHHS is extremely busy with a high volume of Blood Orders, most of which are Stat Emergency orders. Very fast paced complex operation.
- Across the Health System there are six Blood Banks that employ around 250 working Medical Technologists.
- Across the Health System we administer over $25 million worth of products each year.
- Accurate and clear ordering/administration documentation is critical to this process.
- Candidate supports all instruments and printers used at all JHHS Blood Banks.
- Rotates on-call with other members of the Lab Application Team.
- Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks at a high level of complexity.
- Ability to incorporate policies, procedures, and specific clinical practice and/or business processing needs into information systems training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality teamwork and education.
- Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities.
- Uses critical thinking skills regarding use of the clinical/business operations software applications.
- Detailed understanding of clinical/business operations workflows and system configuration gained by participating in validation sessions with project team members and assisting in system design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Project desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical design techniques for related software applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles as they relate to managing timeline, budget and quality.
- Able to lead the work of staff.
- Must be versed in laboratory operations and have an understanding of CAP and CLIA regulations for their area of oversight.
- Required to complete and pass certification in assigned EPIC application module(s) within 120 days of employment in this role.
- Bachelor's Degree, Education or health related field with educational courses. Professional certification(s) and/or related experience beyond minimum training experience qualifications may substitute for formal education requirement on a two years’ experience -for-one year education basis.
- Five years operational experience in a clinical or healthcare business operations setting or five years’ experience in Information Technology.
- Experience with implementing clinical and/or healthcare business information systems in a large-scale and complex healthcare organization.
- Experience in Epic installations.
- Knowledge of the current healthcare environment.
- Experience in developing business and/or clinical workflows related to the assigned application module.
- Understanding of basic programming.
- Must be Epic Certified in Epic Beaker and Epic Orders.
IT@JH Health IT is seeking an EPIC Application Coordinator IV who will provide primary support to our Haemonetics SafeTrace, Haemonetics Blood Tracks, and our Beaker software for Blood Product Orders and Blood Product Administration. Responsible individual must be versed in the support of all 18 Lab Apps software applications and 212 Data Innovations instruments as part of the teams on-call rotation.

Starting Salary Range: $84,700 - $148,300 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
