What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Specialize in knowledge and management of large, complex data sources used for COVID-19 surveillance
- Establish and maintain reliable, efficient, and effective automated data pipelines
- Analyze and resolve problems related to COVID-19 data reporting
- Provide technical assistance and expertise on data management and analysis
- Contribute to special projects related to COVID-19
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to develop and maintain data pipelines with strong attention to detail
- Expert knowledge of SQL and R programming
- Strong knowledge of public health surveillance data management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Master's degree in public health, biostatistics, informatics, or related field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience developing and maintaining automated data pipelines
- Strong knowledge of epidemiological/biostatistical methods
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, or R programming
- Prior knowledge and experience in the use of electronic laboratory reporting data
- Prior knowledge and experience in the use of electronic case reporting data
