  About the program
  Our Underground Trainee Program is specially adapted in three different rotations lasting over a total of 1 5 months, starting in October 2024. Underground Division R&D will be your home base and you will get a wide exposure to business in Epiroc. Each rotation is specially designed so that you get the opportunity to test different functions within the company and to provide you with different skills, knowledge, and experience you need to launch your career with confidence.

  During the program, you will work on challenging projects alongside experienced professionals in a variety of areas, including engineering, sales, marketing, and more. You will also get to spend time towards personal leadership development, because we believe you can become a future leader at Epiroc.

  You will be employed from day one, and your future position within Epiroc will be defined during the trainee program.

  To be admitted to this program and to succeed along the way, we believe that you are goal-oriented and have a strong drive to both develop your own skills as well as the company's. You hold strong problem-solving skills and work efficiently both independently as well as in teams. Lastly, we see that our trainees are mobile and open to living and working in different parts of the world, since at least one 6-month rotation will be in one of our global entities.

  • Further requirements:
    • Recent graduate / Postgraduate (within 2 years ) from Engineering / R&D or equivalent programs
    • M.E / M. Tech / B.E. / B. Tech degree from reputed institutions (IITs /NITs) only.

  Existing Epiroc employees can apply if they are recently graduated.

  Location and travel
  The home base for trainees is in Nashik, India with at least one 6-month rotation in one of our global entities. Occasional traveling may be required.

  Job description

  • Underground Division R&D is the trainee’s home base, and the trainee will get a wide exposure to business in Epiroc during different rotations. Each rotation is specially designed so that the trainee gets the opportunity to test different functions within the company and to provide the trainee with different skills, knowledge, and experience they need to launch their career with confidence.

  • In R&D, the trainee will gain knowledge that can be used to create new products ,services systems or technologies in Drilling and Material Handling Products. Overall, the aim is to develop innovations to improve its position in the industry, and market. To collaborate and communicate with employees on redesigning existing products, creating product designs and developing new products.

  In the divisional marketing the trainee will be introduced to Drilling and Material Handling Customer Solutions, Project Office, Branding & Communications as well as Global Sales. During the rotation Operations, the trainees will learn the function’s processes and their meaning in Epiroc.

  The customer center rotations are key for the trainee in learning how Epiroc works with customers as well as getting exposure to Epiroc globally. During the CC rotations the trainee should be introduced to how the CC drives One Epiroc approach in the matrix organization, the customers who operate underground in the market or region the CC operates in, to territory management and sales processes by job shadowing a sales employee and joining several customer visits, both corporate and operational. Trainee should also be introduced to how the CC connects with customers and measures customer satisfaction. Introduction to aftermarket with time spent with field service and understanding the commissioning process for Underground machines are also part of the CC rotation.

  As building her/his network in the company is one of the trainee program’s aims, the trainee should be introduced to each function and its employees as widely as possible. The trainee is to be seen as one of the employees with concrete working tasks where possible.
