Job summary
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team and the Deputy Head of EDI. There will be an expectation for the post holder to be highly motivated, flexible and multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills. This post will have an opportunity for personal development and mentoring, it is an excellent opportunity for someone that is looking to learn more about equality, diversity and inclusion, and someone looking for a solid role to gain experience of working in the NHS.
Please note that whilst this job contract is owned by Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB, you will be posted working for the NHS England East of England (regional) Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team.
This post is primarily home based, with some expectation to travel to Cambridge on a quarterly basis.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have high standard of skills using Microsoft Office packages and experience of using bespoke IT systems. The post holder will be required to respond to the business needs of the whole service.
The post holder is required to communicate and liaise with external stakeholders (Directors, HR colleagues, and EDI leads) across the region. The post will report to the Deputy Head of EDI and will work closely with the EDI Project Manager. The post holder will in addition be required to support System Culture Transformation Leads (SCTL) where required.
This is a key supporting role to the effective running of the regional EDI Team and the skill required will be organising, co-ordinating, communicating and supporting the programmes and team members with the agreed work plan and business support requirements. This may include monitoring and reviewing projects within the team and managing the regional EDI Mailbox.
