      The Equip Maintenance Tech III performs installation, maintenance, and repairs of utilities and facilities equipment (fire/life safety, electrical generators and switchgear, DI water systems, water and air chillers, cooling tower, air compressors, vacuum, water treatment, and other systems). Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintains maintenance and repair logs in SAP. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as multimeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.



      A Day in the Life

      Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

      • Perform routinely facility inspections, prepare, and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommendations to be taken.
      • Respond to emergencies and support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.
      • Maintain current electrician's license to meet governmental regulations.
      • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
      • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
      • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
      • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
      • Support to conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
      • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
      • Work from blueprints, wiring diagrams or schematics and introduce changes as directed or authorized.
      • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
      • Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Must observe all federal, state, and company EHS policies and regulations. Must follow the proper indications established in the related EHS SOP’s. Follows and support all guidelines established in the organization for the implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS program.
      • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
      • Comply with all the Quality system requirements.
      • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
      • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
      • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
      • Availalble 24/7 for emergency situations
      Must Have: Minimum Requirements

      • Minimum of 4 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
      • Licensed Electrician
      • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

      Nice to Have
      • Licensed Refrigeration Technician
      • Basic knowledge on Sensors Technology.
      • Basic knowledge on Control Automation.
      • Basic knowledge on Programming Logic Control PLC
      • Basic Knowledge on Pneumatics, Mechanics, and hydraulic applications.
      • Ability to use various types of precision measuring instruments.
      • Ability to use shop mathematics and work from drawings, specifications, charts and tables.
      • Experience with ISO, GMP’s and FDA requirements is preferred.
      • Bilingual English/Spanish
