Job Description
- Req#: 144171
- Excellence in customer service while ensuring company compliance with all FMCSA rules and regulations pertaining to one or more of the following: annual vehicle inspections and periodic maintenance record keeping.
- Ensure all compliance deadlines pertaining to annual inspections and / or periodic maintenance records are met as specified by the FMCSA or company policy, maintaining company and equipment compliance at all times.
- Review compliance items submitted, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, and update company systems appropriately.
- Escalate matters of non-compliance or non-compliant submissions to department management.
- Maintain availability and readily answer questions and assist those contacting the Equipment Compliance Department via phone, email, or other communication channels in a timely manner.
- Greet guests to the Safety Department and provide assistance as needed for all walk-ins.

The Equipment Compliance Specialist I is responsible for ensuring compliance with FMCSA rules and regulations pertaining to one or more of the following compliance items: annual vehicle inspections and / or periodic maintenance record keeping.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Experience in the transportation / logistics industry, data entry, driver onboarding and qualifications, safety, and FMCSA compliance preferred but not required.
Must be skilled in critical thinking and accurate data entry.
Must be able to prioritize tasks, complete them with the highest quality, and ensure efficiency across all job functions.
Must be proficient in MS Office, comfortable navigating the internet and email, and able to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems.
