- Operates heavy equipment, such as a loader, dozer, excavator or similar equipment, as applicable to location.
- Performs daily routine safety and equipment operation checks including pre- and post-shift inspections on assigned equipment.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Reports issues to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner.
- Acts as a lead or resource for other Equipment Operators, answering questions and providing training.
- Supports other areas of the operation, as needed.
- Maintains good customer relations and interacts in a professional manner with customers.
- Suggests process improvements to enhance efficient removal from the site.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Three years of related experience, including experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations.
- Basic Computer Aptitude.
- Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations including applicable waste regulation.
- Basic computer programs.
- High school degree or GED, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Commercial driver’s license, preferred.

Role
Under minimal supervision, facilitate sorting, positioning, staging and loading waste and recyclable materials for safe transport and efficient removal from the site.
