What the Hiring Manager Says
The Equity Research team at Quilter Cheviot are looking to hire a junior equity research analyst. Responsibilities will include company and industry analysis, company meetings, writing research notes, and presenting conclusions internally , as well as supporting external business development events. This is an opportunity to get broad exposure within a large research team across a number of different areas.About the Role
As an Equity Analyst within Quilter Cheviot you will be responsible for the analysis of several equity market sectors, developing a good understanding of the sectors, their constituents and share price drivers.
You will maintain active recommendations on 40-50 equities in the UK, Europe and the US. Generate effective, timely investment recommendations and keep electronic stock databases up-to-date.
Communicating stock and sector recommendations effectively and persuasively in both verbal and written settings. Part of your role you will be required to attend and contribute at morning and other investment meetings.
Keeping fund managers informed of significant developments and events. You will play an active part in the Company’s central investment process including contributing to model portfolio process. Carrying out sector presentations to London investment teams and regional offices (travel to offices as required).

Ideally you will be a CFA charter holder or part qualified. Equity Research analysis experience is required, buy side is preferable. Experience of analysing industrial sectors would be preferred. If you have experience of Factset or Refinitiv it would be useful.
