Job Description
- Req#: 24883
- Manages and coordinates all emergency planning activities, focusing on fire and medical emergencies.
- Review and updates the Emergency Response Plan to assure that it is consistent with Ford Fire Bulletins and Local legislative guidelines.
- Develop and present training to emergency response team employees on emergency response and security topics such as emergency procedures, evacuation, and active shooter.
- Plans, design, and execute emergency response drills and desktop exercises and evaluates the efficacy of the drills and exercises.
- Assists in maintaining readiness of emergency operations facilities, equipment, and personnel. Check, maintains, and stocks emergency supplies.
- Coordinate post‐disaster response evaluation, recovery, and incident reports.
- Writes memos, letters, and reports.
- Coordinate the inspection and maintenance of fire equipment, portable and static, ensure equipment is maintained and closed out as per preventative maintenance schedule.
- Conduct routine internal audits and inspection and log findings on CCAR’s.
- General office administration including administering of RQ’s, invoices, PR’s, reconciliation of documents, etc.
- Ensure Fire Bulletin Compliance through annual Third-party Audit and minimize recommendations.
- Responsibility for regular checks and maintenance on Pump Houses and Fire Articulation System

- Diploma in Emergency Management or related fields.
- Fire Fighter I & II (NFPA 1001)
- Hazmat Awareness and Operations Management
- Ambulance Emergency Assistant with valid HPCSA registration Is a recommendation.
- Code EB driver’s license.
- Experience in emergency preparedness and response.
- Experience in leading teams during emergency incident.
- Training in emergency fields, i.e., machine extraction, confined space and heights rescuer will be advantageous.
