      ESG Ratings Analyst Financial Institutions

      Sustainable Fitch is currently seeking an ESG Ratings Analyst or Senior Analyst based in its London or Barcelona offices.

      Part of Fitch Solutions (and Fitch Group), Sustainable Fitch is focused on research, analysis and production of ESG reports and data analyses for companies and their debt instruments. Sustainable Fitch was launched in September 2021 and grew from a dozen analysts based in London to more than 120 members across three continents and nine offices, including 86 analysts. The group currently has four primary teams: ESG Research, ESG Integration and Reporting, ESG Analytics (ESG ratings & Scores), and ESG Product Development.

      Following the successful development of the ESG Rating products, the ESG Analytics department is looking to reinforce its existing teams in London or Barcelona, to produce, monitor and maintain ESG assessments on debt instruments and entities.

      We’ll Count on You To:

      • Deliver high-quality, timely, focused analysis on a suite of products related to the ESG credentials and performance of entities and fixed income issuances
      • Keep up to date with ESG trends, both regulatory and within your sector of expertise
      • Engage externally with issuers and investors
      • Participate in conferences and webinars

      What You Need to Have:

      • Degree in a discipline with a technical background related to any environmental science, social risk or governance-themed disciplines, or economics/business/finance
      • Financially literate and comfortable working with and drawing conclusions from data
      • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access)
      • Direct knowledge or experience/understanding of financial institutions would be a benefit
      • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential.

      • Be proactive and curious, put the interest of the team and product first
      • Be able to cooperate seamlessly in a team-based, international setup, with a strong focus on collaboration and common objectives
      • Be able and willing to learn from mistakes, as well as to provide and accept constructive criticism
      • Detailed knowledge of an additional language such as Russian or German or Polish will be beneficial
