Seeking an Experience Estate Planning Paralegal - Fully Remote
Mid-Missouri law firm is looking for experienced, level-headed, A++ paralegal to join our team. This position may be remote if we find the right candidate.
We are an entrepreneurial estate planning law firm that is on track for aggressive growth, and we need an experienced estate planning paralegal to join our team and work directly with the owner/attorney to support the team and help our clients.

We believe in being organized and proactive. We do NOT deal with "putting out fires." There are rarely emergencies. This office does not handle contested matters. The only litigation that we handle are simply uncontested probate matters.
Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for important work, including:
• General paralegal duties, including supporting attorney and other members of the team as needed
• Drafting revocable living trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and supporting documents
• Drafting irrevocable trusts and supporting documents
• Drafting and e-filing uncontested probate pleadings
• Managing the Trust administration process
• Ensuring that cases are timely moving through the pipeline
• Maintaining calendar, deadlines, and reminders for the team
• Maintaining files, opening files, closing files, copying, scanning, etc.
• Communicating professionally with clients, attorneys, judges, etc.
• Communicating with clients to gather all relevant information and keep them informed
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Meeting billable requirements
• Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
• Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
• Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
• Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
• Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible

We love to help people learn and grow. But we don't have the time for that right now. We need an estate planning paralegal with experience. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding. This is a full-time job where you are expected to manage a caseload, so you absolutely must be able to work for 40 hours per week. We are open to hiring a remote candidate or someone in office at our Rolla office.There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability.
• College degree and/or paralegal degree from accredited school
• Knowledge of Missouri Uniform Trust Act and Probate Code
• MUST have comprehensive knowledge of and experience in estate planning
• Experience with Wealth Counsel and Microsoft Word
• Experience with Clio preferred by not required
Compensation
• Full-time position but part-time negotiable
• Salary dependent on experience and hours (range $50,000-$60,000 start)

• Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar

• 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
• Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
• Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree preferred
