  Job Title: Ethics Advisor

  Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

  Salary: £45,628+ dependent on experience

  What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Ethical Business Conduct programme across the line of business in accordance with the BAE Systems Business Conduct Strategy through effective management, communication and reporting against the programme objectives and deliverables
  • Collaborate with Leaders and Managers and engage with employees across the business to support the integration of ethics and values into daily operations and activities. Ensure the Ethics Manager is aware of cases, trends and potential areas of concern
  • Supporting in building trust and confidence amongst employees about the processes to address ethical concerns, supporting with investigations when required to
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Code of Conduct to champion ethical principles and values within the organisation and support employees to live up to the ethical standards expected of them
  • Support the business with key messages to promote the roll out and completion of the annual Business Integrity Training. Provide regular updates as to progress and support managers where appropriate with delivery of the training
  • Facilitate training where appropriate to build up knowledge around the Code and Speaking Up. Find and develop ways in which to promote the Code e.g. inductions, early careers workshops, Employee Resource Groups, etc

  Your skills and experiences:

  Essential:

  • Ability to communicate in a variety of ways, including delivery of training, to all levels in the organisation
  • Successful track record as a trusted business partner, working in the Business Conduct field and other areas within the business

  Desirable:

  • Experience of facilitation between parties at varied levels in Submarines in order to support informal resolution of concerns
  • Ability to understand trends and able to translate these into actions and objectives for internal initiatives

  Experience of running workplace investigations

  The Ethics team:

  As an Ethics Advisor, you will be supporting the Ethics Manager with the delivery of the Ethical Business Conduct programme across the line of business in accordance with the BAE Systems Business Conduct Strategy through effective management, communication and reporting against the programme objectives and deliverables. Oversight of business ethics officers, training and leading the line of business Ethics Officer network, including refreshing the network where required. The role will involve working with different levels of the line of business, across different functions and at varying levels of seniority, including line of business Chief Counsel and Functional/Business Unit Directors. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
