Job Description

- Strong understanding of designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Exposure with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such Java.
- Ability to write clean and efficient code.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
- Strong Linux Skills (not just basic OS level commands but experience in creating Bash Scripts
- An understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices.
- Ability to design data schemas.
- Understanding of data quality principles and best practices.
- Awareness of data governance and data security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic data issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to wake up early (not often) when there are issues with data processes.
- Strong experience with Automation/scheduling tool such as WADE, Control-M, Autosys, etc.
- ITIL v3 or higher.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Ability to create and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Previous work experience in ETL.
- Previous work experience in Production support.
- Exposure to data projects and basic data engineering tasks.
