      The European Infrastructure & Energy (I&E) Financing team originates, structures and executes financing transactions across a broad variety of I&E sub-sectors, including Digital, Energy Transition, Core and Value-add/Core+. The team is an integral part of Deutsche Bank’s Global Credit and Financing Solutions platform which sits within the Investment Bank.

      The team utilises numerous different financing styles and solutions for this purpose, including acquisition financings, project financings, senior/junior financings and a variety of different bridge financing formats, including equity bridge loans and construction bridge loans. The team has a large hold book but is also a highly regarded underwriting Bank in the I&E market, regularly underwriting several billion Euros per annum which it distributes via its sales and I&E syndication platform.

      You will join a leading I&E financing platform where you will gain exposure to a variety of different I&E sub-sectors and financing products.

      Your key responsibilities

      • Coordinating the transaction origination process including the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials
      • Supporting the structuring and executing of I&E transactions across a variety of different I&E sub-sectors and across different financing styles and solutions
      • Reading and interpreting transaction materials such as due diligence reports, as part of the credit and investment committee approval process
      • Running complex financial models and understanding the output in relation to the transaction being undertaken
      • Supporting syndication processes, in partnership with the I&E syndicate desk, such as through the management of investor Question & Answer processes
      • Creating and maintaining internal risk reports and coordinating internal approval processes

      Your skills and experience

      • Relevant experience from an I&E financing platform or setting is highly desirable
      • Superior analytical aptitude and creative problem-solving abilities
      • Ability to work as part of a team and in partnership with other parts of Deutsche Bank
      • Excellent communication skills with an ability to simplify complex concepts into an easy to understand format
      • Well organised, strong project management skills and attention to detail
