      Are you looking for a responsible and rewarding driving job that gives a flexible choice of hours over evenings and weekends? Join the team supporting our Out Of Hours services across the Devon region and play your part in ensuring better healthcare for your local area.

      We are specifically looking for an Evening Driver in the South Devon / Newton Abbot.

      As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a new model of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff. By bringing together NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care, when they need it. Its better for everyone. As an Evening Driver, youll chauffeur GPs and nurses to and from patients homes typically when theyre unable to see their usual clinician. This is not an emergency service and you will need to follow all the normal rules of the road. It will be part of your role to ensure the safety of our clinicians and medical equipment, so you may be asked to escort them to the patients front door. Youll also be expected to keep vehicles appropriately maintained, and at times youll need to communicate with the public, as well as the team back at base. This a permanent, Part Time position and you will cover our evening shifts for our Out of Hours GP service across a 3 week rolling rota.

      Main duties of the job

      What you will need:

      • Driving experience, with a full driving license (no more than three points), good map reading skills and knowledge of the local area.
      • Good communication skills, both in person and by telephone.
      • Basic IT skills for noting information such as itinerary checklists and time logs accurately.
