      Description

      SUMMARY: The Event Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling event staff for all Boston College events, coordinate event preparation and support the administrative functions for TeamOps Event Staff including but not limited to training, payroll reconciliation, recognition events, and support activities. In addition, the Event Coordinator will support major event operations at Gillette Stadium with a focus on PT staff support and administrative preparation.
      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      1. Schedule event staff for all Boston College events with an emphasis on position placement that align staff strengths and supports business needs.
      2. Develop and communicate clear, consistent, and detailed event notes for distribution to staff and other administrative documents such as supervisor list, deployment sheets, PAIR forms, and post event supervisor reports.
      3. Review event staff timecards to ensure proper event code allocation, wages, and accuracy of bi-weekly event invoicing for all functions.
      4. Attend all Gillette Stadium major events (as directed) and support security and service operations as assigned.
      5. Attend and support meetings and events for Boston College in conjunction with the Senior Security Event Manager including football and winter sports.
      6. Support weekly new hire training initiatives such as functional training by collaborating and moderating training programs for Boston-based members of TeamOps.
      7. Complete special projects and assignments as business dictates.
      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
      • This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will interface with PT staff on event days
      SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
      • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree, preferred
      • 1-2 years of experience in event operations
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Organized and detail oriented
      • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, etc.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
      • Committed to taking an active role in developing a positive culture

      WORK ENVIRONMENT
      • Generally located in administrative office during business hours, and will maintain a floating schedule
      • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays with frequency in support of events
      • Event Venue, noise level in the work environment is typically loud
      • Densely populated on event day
