Co-owns large scale and high-profile internal events including those led by our Group Chief Executive and our all-colleague broadcasts.
Owns the delivery of internal events strategy and plan for the Group and GEC, identifying the opportunities and challenges to ensure maximum impact, value and outcomes.
Provides expert guidance and counsel on events for our business partner teams and our stakeholders in the business, helping to shape dynamic experiences.
Guides and supports the creation of engaging and impactful event content.
Works closely and collaboratively across GCA and the wider business to ensure events are planned and delivered effectively, maximising impact and alignment with Group and business unit priorities.
GCA’s lead contact with external logistical and support suppliers, ensuring a seamless experience for our stakeholders and audiences.
Challenges constructively, driving real purpose and value of communications and helping to innovate and improve colleague experiences while reducing the noise.
Uses measurement and feedback to understand the value and impact of events and uses the findings to test, learn and adapt to influence future event strategy.
Coordinates and collaborates with our in-house teams (and external suppliers when needed), overseeing the development of high-quality event content and leading matrix teams and squads.
Continuously develops and grows by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities.
Establishes and maintains effective networks of contacts across the communications job family.
An outcome focused events delivery expert, specialising in planning and prioritising internal colleague experiences that maximise colleague engagement, with an eye on the external environment / best practice, preferably with experience of working in an events agency.
Has a deep knowledge and experience of the tools and technology-enabled innovation that demonstrates GCAs position as the centre of excellence for internal events, now and in the future.
Excellent appreciation of our business priorities and how this is brought to life through the delivery of an impactful, engaging events strategy and plan.
Highly effective stakeholder management and partnering skills, building an extensive network of subject matter experts from across the Group. Regularly managing matrix teams and squads to deliver excellent events for our audiences.
Has a passion to embrace and inspire change and continuous improvement, as well as a willingness to be bold and bring ideas and experiments to help us to maximise our opportunities and effectively adopt new technology to enhance the colleague experience.
Has a creative, critical mind, challenging established ways of working to embed an impactful events approach and passionately inspires change in the Group’s channel strategy.
Understands the communications landscape in the Group. Collaborates with expert channel and support teams within GCA and, where required, external partners to deliver outstanding, inclusive and accessible events.

Ability to work at pace in an agile tech-enabled environment.

JOB TITLE: Events Delivery Manager - Colleague Communication & Experience
LOCATION(S): Birmingham, Bristol, Halifax, Leeds, Edinburgh or London
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
As the Group transforms, so must how we communicate and engage with our colleagues.
The Colleague Communication & Experience team has been built as the centre of excellence to rethink how best we support both the strategic business delivery and cultural transformation through simpler, more targeted and consistent end to end colleague communications and experiences.
This activity directly aligns with the employee value proposition in service of creating a modern and progressive environment where people and teams can perform at their best, at pace while doing all they can to help customers and Britain prosper.

The internal communications landscape is going through a massive transformation, in particular as it embraces the opportunities that technology can bring. As an outcome driven events delivery expert, the manager provides the end-to-end event management oversight and delivery ownership as a key part of our best-in-class communications to our internal audiences. The role reports into the Senior Manager, Channels & Experience.Job Description
