- Lead event project initiatives in region, partnering with business, and other functional partners to develop impactful programs in alignment with business strategy
- Focus on building and driving stakeholder engagement across business functions, event partners and extended regional & global teams
- Manage the end-to-end process of event planning & execution and logistics, ranging from content development, event briefs, research, approvals, invitation, speaker management, venue set-up, designs, onsite support, production / audio / video / virtual event management, financial management and post-event analysis
- Manage effectively external vendors and venues on all event related matters
- Manage effectively corporate hospitality and ticketing – working directly with ticketing vendors and recording of ticketing through a global ticketing portal for audit purposes
- Provide support across J.P. Morgan franchise sponsorships as well as industry conferences and events, ensuring benefits are delivered, effectively leveraged and executed flawlessly
- Manage and keep track of event budget with a view to cost efficiency
- Adhere to internal policy and procedures with regards to reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
- Maintain events database which includes (but is not limited to) event metrics, budgets, and event collateral
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hotel Management or a related degree
- Minimum 8 years of experience in event planning and management/execution
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills and ability/flexibility to confidently lead and manage an event on an end-to-end basis
- Independent to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects
- Client focused, highly organized, and process oriented with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
- Ability to manage budget, and to stay within strict budget parameters
- Confidence to be an ambassador to internal client management. Ability to forge strong relationships, interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses
- Team player with proven ability to communicate in clear, concise and accurate manner, and able to collaborate with team members, vendors and all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent Microsoft skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and savvy with technology
- Periodic after-hours work will be required
- Periodic travel within the region may be required
The Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Event Marketing team works in partnership with all lines of business firm-wide to plan, execute and support client and internal conferences and events.
Job Summary:
Event Marketing teams are located in key markets across Asia Pacific, Europe and Middle East, North America and Latin America. The team comprises of experienced event professionals with the specialized expertise and supplier relationships to execute events to a high standard while closely managing costs.
As an Events Marketing, Vice President in the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Event Marketing team, you will work in partnership with all lines of business firm-wide to plan, execute and support client and internal conferences and events. You will have significant exposure & interactions with senior management and will be required to have a thorough understanding of event strategy and the alignment to support business goals. You will also need strong event project management skills and will be expected to partner effectively with colleagues across other functions.
