- Deliver EHS strategic objectives across all regional sites, working closely with stakeholders and EHS leads to ensure continuous improvement and the development of a progressive EHS culture
- Ensure operational governance practices are consistently applied across all regional sites, including adherence to internal controls, risk management processes, and health & safety standards.
- Support site teams in maintaining compliance with local and international EHS regulations.
- Champion the rollout of EHS programs and initiatives in line with HelloFresh global standards.
- Line manage EHS leads embedded in distribution centres across multiple geographies, actively providing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate internal audits and external assessments, monitor corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
- Act as a central conduit between site operations and senior leadership, ensuring alignment on KPIs, regulatory updates, and best practices in EHS and governance.
- Lead or support key cross-functional projects focused on reducing environmental impact, improving workplace safety, and strengthening operational governance.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in EHS, governance, or operations within complex, multi-site environments such as logistics, manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and audit processes.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams or direct reports across regions.
- Ability to influence, coach, and build relationships across varying cultural and organisational contexts.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track KPIs and implement improvements based on findings.

About the role
As Associate Director of Governance & EHS, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of HelloFresh's environmental and governance frameworks across our global distribution network. Reporting to the Senior Director, you’ll provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to site teams across multiple countries, ensuring consistent compliance with EHS standards and operational governance expectations.
You’ll manage a network of EHS and governance leads across our Distribution Centres, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and act as a key liaison between site operations and central leadership teams.
