      Assist in developing and implementing accurate exercise prescriptions and strength training programs for an assigned group of patients. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist will assess cardiac or pulmonary patients that enter the program, work with each patient throughout the time at rehab, reassess the patient every 30 days, communicate to physicians as needed and discharge the patient at the end of the session. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Utilize prescribed exercise, basic health interventions and promote physical activity for individuals with chronic disease or conditions, examples include but not limited to cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, neoplastic, immunologic, and hematologic diseases. - Provides primary and secondary prevention strategies designed to improve, maintain or alternative declines in fitness and health in variety of populations. - Works with patients during supervised exercise sessions. - Meets periodically to review interdisciplinary treatment plan and adjust exercise prescription with patient. - Collects and analyzes data for outcomes for American Associate of Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehab (AACVPR). - Operates and can troubleshoot LSI cardiac and pulmonary monitoring system. Other Functions: - Cleaning equipment and cardiac monitors. - Creating patient assignment. - Assisting patients with applying cardiac monitors. - Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - Bachelors in Exercise Science or Physiologist. Preferred Certifications: American College of Sports Medicine certification
