Conduct Sub-Maximal VO2 tests using the Bruce Protocol
Proficiency in using a treadmill or cycle ergometer
Administering efficient Resting ECG Tests
Measure pre and post exercise BPs
Update results from the above testing to generate reports for each patient
Provide clients recommendations and corrective exercises based on results
Monitor and facilitate the flow of patients through the Clinic
Be an on-going point of contact for any client that has specific questions based on their report
Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service and value time to our clients
Cross-training required to conduct fitness assessments including but not limited to body composition analysis, InBody report interpretation, hip and waist measurements, muscle and joint movement analysis, child and youth assessments, exercise programming recommendations.
Must hold a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP or related) or Registered Kinesiologist (R. Kin) designation
One or more of: Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or Health Sciences, Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion (or related), is an asset
Prior experience conducting graded exercise testing
2+ years prior healthcare experience
Current CPR certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Client service experience
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
Strong organization and time management

Medcan is recruiting for a full-time Exercise Physiologist (CEP) or Registered Kinesiologist (R. Kin) to join our growing high-performance clinical team. The ideal candidate is a client focused professional with great communications skills and some healthcare experience.

This is a full-time permanent position that is scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday - Saturday.
Our Downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St. (York and Adelaide) which is nearby St. Andrew and King subway stations or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!
