Reviews all daily work performed by the team for completeness, accuracy and compliance with current policies and procedures
· Allocates all accruals, invoices, reporting and special requests appropriately to available Expense Representatives and Seniors
· Creates, maintains, and provides oversight for all daily checklists and controls
· Reviews all fund level and expense account level budgets for completeness, reasonableness and accuracy on a periodic basis
· Oversees any changes to expense structures for assigned accounts as changes go into effect such as product launches, mergers,
· Trains and develops Expense Administration Representatives and Seniors as needed and provide staff with support and coverage as necessary
· Assists team members with problem solving and issue resolution; Utilizes best judgment to escalate issues to senior managers as appropriate
· Maintains a working familiarity with applicable accounting and financial reporting rules and regulations as relates to all products and expense structures for which the team may have responsibility
· Communicates appropriately with the Expense Administration Team Leader or Manager with respect to all timetables and workflow and communicates to the extent appropriate all relevant matters with other team members
· Continually reassesses, develops, and implements processes to increase efficiency within the team, while maintaining the highest standards of analysis and levels of output
· Prepares, maintains, and evolves periodic reporting
· Utilizes effective analytical and research techniques to resolve inquiries
· Provides leadership for projects and changes as requested
· Provides leadership for process maintenance and updates
· Provides consistent, positive mentoring and development of Administrator skills and levels of productivity
· Ensures consistent, positive self-development of technical and leadership skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES
· Education Level BA or Equivalent
· Relevant Professional Experience Up to 5 Yr
· Prior supervisory experience or demonstrated success at a Senior Representative Position Experience in financial product accounting, financial product reporting, or basic accounting and analysis preferred
· Highly organized and detail oriented
· Strong desire to manage others and a willingness to provide the necessary support and leadership for their development
· Self-motivated, capable of monitoring and completing a variety of projects simultaneously
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to work well in a deadline oriented, client-driven environment
· Be highly engaged in the team’s collective work to foster a highly collaborative team environment
· Advanced knowledge of mutual fund products, multi-class accounting, and the components of an NAV
· Proactively anticipate client needs and respond effectively to client inquiries
Effectively communicate findings to clients and to colleagues verbally or written as required
