- Build collaborative relationships across Sainsbury’s a through strong storytelling, communication, and influencing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development and the wider design community to ensure design consistency across the Sainsbury's ecosystem and alignment with business goals.
- Run workshops with cross-functional teams to inspire user-centred design thinking and bring stakeholders on the same journey.
- Work with the Guidelines team to continuously evolve our design system and guidelines and champion their adoption and implementation.
- Champion inclusive design principles in your work and throughout the organization.
- Support and inspire others in the team. Contribute to an inclusive team environment.
- Understanding of advanced design techniques and methodologies
- Proficient in creating a basic research plan and conducting user research
- Ability to synthesize research findings into key insights
- Expertise designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma
- Strong visual, interface and interaction design skills
- Ability to co-lead workshops with other designers and understand key themes and takeaways
- Adaptable to changing priorities, complexity and unknowns

The role:
As an Experience Designer working within our Digital team, you'll have a passion for creating user-friendly, intuitive designs, with a strong grasp of experience design principles and methodologies. You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers, and other designers to deliver seamless user experiences across our colleague facing digital products, utilizing a data-informed, test-and-learn approach.
You’ll get to work on digital experiences across Argos, Habitat and Tu, new product launches and work with our in-store teams to ensure a truly excellent end to end experience for millions of our customers.

What you'll do:
Planning: Shape and plan your work and understand how it fits with the work of others in your Product team.
User Research: Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics to understand the needs, behaviours, and pain points of in store colleagues.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas and interactions.
Information Architecture: Create and organize site maps, content hierarchies, and navigation systems to ensure intuitive and accessible user experiences.
Visual Design: Design engaging and cohesive visual interfaces that align with our brand guidelines and enhance the overall user experience.
Usability and Concept Testing: Plan and conduct testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user insights.
Design Documentation: Produce and maintain detailed design specifications, guidelines, and documentation to support development and implementation.
Collaboration:
Stay Current: Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our design processes and deliver cutting-edge.
