Job Description
- Req#: REF20093A
- Edging – Scan barcode, chuck lens in edger and push start.
- Safety Bevel – Roll edges on bevel wheel to eliminate sharpness.
- Wash – After loading wash racks, place in ultrasonic for 1 minute, quick rinse, then final rinse.
- Insert Lens into Frames – Metal Frame : remove screw, insert lens, replace screw. Zyle Frame: heat frame to expand and insert lens.
- Inspection – Check lens for defects, pits, scars. Place lens in topcon. Check for correct power, axis, prism, etc.
- Hand Bevel – Edge lens down by hand to reduce size. Take out starts and chips, roll edges.
- Safety Stamp – Place lens on appropriate stamp and push down.
- Sort Trays – Sort trays for appropriate areas at edging, deblocking, beveling, tinting and insertion
- Tint – Place lens in lens holder and tint to specified color.
- Mentoring - Ability to train, support, give and receive feedback
- No specific education level required.
- At least 6 months of direct or related experience required.
- Accuracy is required
- A fairly diversified job requiring intermittent sustained mental effort and some organization, and planning.
- Requires continuous walking, standing and moving about or continuous sitting depending on the production station.
- Continuous movement and twisting of wrist.
- Occasionally lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighting 0-10 lbs.
- Frequent bending and twisting of waist and neck.
- Frequent repetitive use of hands is required, which includes grasping and fine manipulation.
- Gloves must be worn during work periods.
- Protective eyewear must be worn in all manufacturing and stockroom areas.
