- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
- 18 years of work experience as a Engineer with sensor integration experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 18+ years of experience in government or industry within relevant domains, including:
DoD/IC Acquisition Processes
Requirements Development
PPBES Process
Systems engineering for large, complex System-of-Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments across cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures
In-depth knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle
Experience or strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Proficiency with digital engineering tools such as Jira, Confluence, and DOORS Next Gen (DNG)
Familiarity with the Agile Software Development Framework
Experience with sensor programs and NGA segment
- Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.
Support the Government in leading efforts across requirements engineering, solution architecture, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, service development, integration, testing, evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across NSG, ASG, and partner agencies.
Assist in the planning and traceability of user requirements and system architectures; evaluate and improve existing systems and assess cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints.
Provide strategic recommendations to the Government regarding design modifications based on evolving requirements and emerging technologies.
Translate mission and stakeholder needs into actionable system and capability requirements and technical solutions.
Support allocation of requirements to architectural components and active programs.
Facilitate and contribute to system integration efforts across enterprise-level programs and initiatives.
Lead and assist in conducting Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and other engineering assessments.
Contribute to strategic technical planning, risk management, interface design, project execution, and performance engineering.
Advise the Government on aligning vision, strategy, requirements, and capability development initiatives.
Operate at a senior integration level, managing the intersection of multiple Major Systems Acquisitions across agency, departmental, and national boundaries.
Oversee and coordinate the efforts of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Systems Engineering staff.

Overall Assignment Description:Expert-level Systems Engineers provide leadership and technical guidance to multi-disciplinary engineering teams supporting the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. The role focuses on requirements engineering, solution development, systems integration, testing, and analysis to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT delivery across complex enterprise environments.
