      The role:

      • In consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and/or Registered Nurse, the Extended Care Assistant will assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of a range of diversional therapy programs to assist with daily living.
        The Extended Care Assistant assists patients with personal care needs, as directed by nursing staff

      Details of Appointment

      Fixed term full time / part time shift-worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP until August 2024

      *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

      • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

      Salary: $58, 899 - $61, 381 per annum (pro rata) + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

      You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

      • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

      Eligibility:

      Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

      1. Current Driver's Licence
      2. Current First Aid Certificate

      The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

      1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
      • crimes of violence
      • sex related offences
      • serious drug offences
      • crimes involving dishonesty
      1. Identification check
      2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
