      Your Role and Responsibilities

      Are you passionate about how emerging technologies like generative AI and hybrid cloud are reshaping businesses and industries? Do you love crafting integrated storytelling campaigns across paid, earned, social, owned media to bring a global brand to life for its key stakeholders?

      We are seeking a sharp and creative external relations professional to drive integrated communication campaigns that build visibility for IBM Consulting as a catalyst for business transformation using AI and an industry leader in applying AI to transform the consulting profession.

      To be successful, you must come to work with a 'sleeves rolled up' attitude and be comfortable working independently as well as with large cross-company, multi-disciplinary and global teams to accomplish goals.
      Responsibilities

      • Mine for compelling stories about IBM Consulting's business growth and AI-powered transformation, as well as how its consultants convene an ecosystem of partners like Microsoft and Amazon Web Services to help global clients transform their business with technology
      • Lead external communications for IBM Consulting Advantage, our AI services platform that brings together a portfolio of Assistants, assets and methods
      • Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns including paid, earned, social and owned strategies, including creating strategic plans, blogs, pitches, press releases, op-eds, and other thought leadership material.
      • Engage media and industry analyst influencers to drive earned coverage around IBM Consulting’s thought leadership, innovation and partnerships
      • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior executives and other spokespeople.
      • Partner with corporate communications colleagues, geographic communications teams, internal communications experts, social media colleagues and others to maintain cohesive messaging in support of IBM's global strategy

      Required Technical and Professional Expertise

      • Deep experience in media relations, marketing communications, or similar experience in-house or in an agency setting
      • Hands-on experience driving in-depth feature stories with top tier press

      Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

      • Ability to write compelling stories and arguments
      • Hold relationships with business and trade reporters, social media pundits and other industry influencers.
      • Hands-on experience working across different categories of media as well as social platforms.
      • Ability to synthesize complex technologies, products, and market challenges.
      • Multitasker; able to set priorities in a fast-paced environment while driving progress on multiple fronts.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
