- Identifying, fostering and maintaining strategic industry relationships with potential and existingemployers across target industry groups both in Canada and globally and partnership development
- Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies globally
- Leadingseminars and/or workshops primarily with external audiences to increase brand awarenessand loyalty with key decision makers
- Analyzing job descriptions and recommending changes to employer that attract top students usingfresh data and market intelligence
- Evaluating job prospects in alignment with student academic goals and career preferences
- Advising and coaching students on work search strategies and skills to secure international workterms with top global brands
- Promotingemployer jobs and engagement on campus with students through various communicationchannels and mediums to boost student engagement and increase recruitment yield
- Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities both on and off-campus tocreatemeaningful connection opportunities for students and industry contacts that directly increaserecruitment and selection of management students
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of related experience in a sales or business development role with a demonstrated track record of generating new business and building client relationships
- Experience in business-to-business marketing/sales in the following industries: Professional services (including accounting and consulting), Banking and Financial Services.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive market research and analysis aiding in the identification of new target markets for co-op job opportunities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), email and Internet
- Highly developed presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as employers
- Ability to use initiative and creativity, and exercise sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet targets and deadlines
- Applicants are also expected to show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment
- Experience in business-to-business marketing/sales in the Insurance, Advertising, PR, Media Agencies, Retail, Market Research industries considered an asset
- Previous experience working in post-secondary or working in a campus recruitment role is an asset
- Experience in international job development and/or relationship building is an asset

Your opportunity:
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and initiating all aspects of co-op employer relationships that strategically support Management’s academic programs (both undergraduate and graduate, and especially the Management and International Business program). Using a direct sales approach, the incumbent is responsible for conducting market research, identifying target markets, and making contact with employers to develop new co-op job opportunities. This position is also is responsible for maintaining regular contact with employers from previous work terms through on-site visits and meetings, networking opportunities, and by phone and email. In consultation with the Assistant Director, External Relations the incumbent sets annual performance targets both for engaged employers and for job postings in each work term.
Responsibilities also include identifying opportunities to increase employer/industry involvement in support of Management students, such as company information sessions, industry tours, mentorship opportunities, and other levels of engagement with Management students. The incumbent will use knowledge of and experience with the employment environment to provide feedback and advice to the Assistant Director on market realities for co-op program areas.
